My Story: Usrah Budi 2
Our Usrah Budi session
Assalamualaikum wbt,
Alhamdulillah all praises be to Allah SWT for granting me the opportunity to enroll in Usrah Budi 2 Section 203.
It was an amazing journey and every class was memorable although it was only for six weeks during short semester.
There were various activities that we had been assigned to do together, such as creating infographics, playing fun games, watching inspirational videos and also doing a presentation. All of the tasks given had carry a lesson each that were mainly about changing us to become a better person.
My thoughts on this course is that our naqibah was very kind hearted and she had guided us with full of patience. Every class was filled with excitement and my classmates were also very cooperative with each other.
I would like to send my best regards and deeply express my gratitude to everyone who was involved in ensuring the success of this course especially to our naqibah, Sister Hafizzah and my classmates which consist of 28 people.
Even though we had our class online using Google Meet due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it did not prevent us from gaining knowledge and enjoying the course.
This proves that where there is a will, there is a way. Alhamdulillah, God willing, we had ended our short semester successfully although we were separated from each other, and some also had problems with the internet connection yet it did not become an excuse for us to seek solutions in conducting the classes.
I had learned alot from this course and my goals are to implement all the things that I have learnt in my daily life.
Lastly, it is hoped that we meet again in the future for our next Usrah Budi session, in shaa Allah. :)

An avid reader
Indulge into the world of fantasy
A lifelong book collector
Everyone has their own pastime, either cooking, swimming, or playing sports. As for me, I prefer to spend my time with reading books, newspapers, magazines, or any written piece. Since I was small, I enjoyed reading books to the point of reading multiple books in a day. One of the places I look forward to going is the bookstore. I could spend hours browsing through books displayed in the shop. Similarly, the library is like a safe haven for me; a place where I can escape from reality for a short moment.
It is through the act of reading that I can feel the emotions portrayed by the characters in the book, especially if you have stumbled upon an amazing story. Putting down a good book would be difficult as your mind has already been engulfed with the story. A good writer is one who manages to capture the reader's interest to continue reading page by page.
I believe that reading is magical; it brings you into your own world full of fantasy. Putting yourselves at the character's shoes would create a lot of excitement and also suspense as to what would happen next.
There are numerous benefits of reading such as increasing your vocabulary by introducing you to new words; words which you have never heard before. Reading will also let us gain knowledge and apply it in our daily lives. Not only that, reading serves as a form of relieving stress, as a good book can brighten up our gloomy day.
One of my favourite authors would be Mitch Albom. His books are one of a kind, they contain heartwarming stories which causes tears to form in your eyes. We can empathise with the characters as if you are in their current situation.
His books for example, 'For one more day' tells the story of a son and his mother, where the son wishes that he could have just another day to spend time with his mother.
